Is a C a passing grade at CSUF? ›

A grade of "D" (1.0) or better is required to satisfy all other GE requirements. [A grade of "D minus" (0.7) or lower is not a passing grade.] A grade of "C" (2.0) or better is required to satisfy the upper division writing requirement. [A grade of "C minus" (1.7) or lower is not a passing grade.]

All graduates of Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) who enroll as freshmen at Santa Ana College and complete the requirements will be provided with guaranteed admission to CSUF with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 and meeting Transfer Requirements.

C is a passing grade, yes. D isn't all that great but depending on the grading system your school/class goes by it'll probably count as a pass. The only surefire failure grade is an F.
