Here’s what else to consider
Hiring a graphic design executive is a crucial decision for any business that relies on visual communication and branding. A graphic design executive is responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring a team of graphic designers, as well as overseeing the creative direction, strategy, and execution of design projects. But what are the most important qualities to look for in a graphic design executive? Here are six factors to consider.

1 Portfolio and experience
The first thing to look for in a graphic design executive is a strong portfolio and experience in the field. A portfolio should showcase the executive's range of skills, styles, and achievements, as well as their ability to handle different types of projects, clients, and challenges. Experience should demonstrate the executive's leadership, management, and collaboration skills, as well as their knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices.

Most important: How versatile is the portfolio. Years of experience, niche-experience, and portfolio add to that drastically, but if the portfolio is not strong and only contains one-niche design showcase, then it's not a senior designer, no matter how many years of experience. This means, more versatile portfolio, more creative thinking and demonstration and problem-solving for any type of future design or challenge. Also, the person needs to be a leader, and needs to have that mentorship mindset, where he would help the designers in his team GROW, not just give them work.

With today's access of digital AI tools that can help you boost your imagination and creativity, IMHO I don't think you need creativity any longer (like everyone claims this skill in their CV).What you need is how well you adapt to that creativity. There's no unique set of innovation in design any longer, or the chances for that are 0.1%.Although, if you don't have the drive and VISION of how you imagine your content to look like, you're not a creative person anyways. You need to be open to critics, honest feedback and adapting to new environments and new tools.

A graphic design executive should have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they are the main point of contact between the design team and the client, as well as other stakeholders. A graphic design executive should be able to articulate the vision, rationale, and value of their design work, as well as listen to and understand the client's needs, preferences, and feedback. A graphic design executive should also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with their team, providing guidance, direction, and support.

A graphic design executive should have strong organization and time management skills, as they are in charge of planning, coordinating, and overseeing multiple design projects at once. A graphic design executive should be able to prioritize, delegate, and monitor tasks, as well as set and meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. A graphic design executive should also be able to handle stress, uncertainty, and changes in scope.
